Adn.Multiunit Impression Post (Open/Closed)
Multiunit Impression post most commonly used in full-arch implant restorations, such as All-on-4® and All-on-6® cases. The impression post is temporarily secured to the multi-unit abutment prior to taking an impression. It serves as a 3D reference marker, allowing dental labs to replicate the intraoral location of each abutment in relation to the others and to the soft tissue anatomy.Multi-unit impression posts are typically used with the open tray (pick-up) technique, in which the post is unscrewed and remains embedded in the impression material upon removal. This technique provides the highest level of accuracy, especially in cases involving tilted or non-parallel implants.
